Operations Coordinator
What you will do:
- Oversee all Inventory Control functions at the branch, ensuring overall inventory integrity, identification and management of non-productive inventory, and control of branch purchases.
- Complete mandatory reporting documents (cycle counts, negative on-hands, PO reports, P-Status, etc.).
- Manage all administrative requirements at the branch, including phone and reception services, customer and vendor invoicing, credits and returns, AS400 customer file maintenance, IT issues, and human resources matters such as scheduling, orientation, training, and payroll.
- Handle facility maintenance and security issues, including equipment and machinery repairs.
- Oversee branch warehouse and delivery functions, optimizing the delivery fleet, maintaining stocking and receiving standards, and ensuring picking, fill rates, and accuracies meet targets.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing company safety and health policies and procedures.
- Assist the Branch Manager as necessary and serve as a backup when required.
Qualifications:
- Post‑secondary education in business or a related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of related experience in wholesale distribution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of business and management principles, especially within the wholesale distribution industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with proven teamwork experience.
- Highly organized, able to prioritize work and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
- First Aid, WHMIS, and TDG certifications are assets.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Successful completion of a satisfactory criminal record check.
