are looking for a Purchasing Support Specialist
- Calgary, AB

This is a one-year fixed-term contract position to cover a maternity leave. Reporting to the Director of Product Development and Supply Chain, this role is critical in supporting our sales and supply chain operations by ensuring accurate order processing, timely fulfilment, and exceptional customer service.

What We Expect?
  • Experience with ERP systems, including order entry, order verification, and purchase order generation.
  • Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively follow up with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Understanding of order processing from entry through fulfilment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Process and maintain Sales and Purchase Orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Source parts and materials and coordinate purchasing with suppliers.
  • Coordinate deliveries with suppliers, carriers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Monitor and expedite shipments, communicate delays, and provide timely delivery updates.
  • Respond to customer and internal inquiries and provide effective day-to-day support.
  • Monitor inventory levels across SFC and third-party warehouses and support inventory planning.
  • Review open orders and ensure Sales Orders are accurately updated and processed.
  • Prepare inventory, order, and usage reports for management.
  • Support inventory counts, cycle counts, and Accounts Payable investigations.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, lead-time, and product information in the ERP system.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as required.
