You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sourcing process, including refining existing procurement strategies, preparing RFP packages, evaluating bids, negotiating commercial terms, and supporting contract execution with selected vendors.

Strategic Sourcing & RFP Management
- Develop and finalize three transportation-related RFP packages using existing templates and supporting documentation
- Review and refine existing procurement materials, including strategy documents, spend analyses, and scopes of work
- Coordinate and manage the RFP process from issuance through vendor selection
- Ensure procurement activities align with business objectives and operational requirements
Support sourcing activities for:
- Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) transportation services for inbound and outbound shipments to and from mining operations
- Heavy haul transportation services within the local region and surrounding areas
- Hot shot transportation services supporting operational requirements
- Analyze vendor submissions and compare commercial proposals
- Conduct cost modeling, bid comparisons, and financial evaluations
- Utilize Excel and analytical tools to assess pricing structures and identify value opportunities
- Develop recommendations for vendor selection based on pricing, service capabilities, and operational fit
- Lead commercial negotiations with shortlisted suppliers
- Develop and finalize transportation agreements with successful bidders
- Ensure negotiated terms align with operational, legal, and commercial requirements
- Support contract implementation and vendor onboarding activities
- Work closely with procurement, operations, logistics, and transportation stakeholders
- Provide regular updates on project status and sourcing activities
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within transportation procurement
- Experience managing transportation, logistics, or supply chain procurement initiatives
- Experience leading RFPs, RFQs, and sourcing projects
- Strong contract negotiation and vendor management experience
- Ability to develop, evaluate, and negotiate commercial agreements
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Strong financial analysis and bid evaluation capabilities
- Experience reviewing spend data and developing sourcing recommendations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of transportation markets, freight services, and logistics operations considered a strong asset
- Transportation experience in a mine site environment considered a strong asset
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
