Logistics Specialist

Position: Logistics Specialist Role at WestJet
Join West Jet as a Logistics Specialist, working collaboratively in-person up to five days a week. Utilize your expertise in international shipping and customs to optimize global delivery processes.

Reporting to the Team Lead in Shipping & Logistics, this role is designed for professionals with 3-5 years of logistics experience. You will engage with multiple departments to ensure smooth transportation and aid in cost-effective solutions while developing supplier relationships. Customer service excellence will be at the forefront of your contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and perform logistical moves to exceed expectations

• Adhere to safety and Customs procedures for shipments

• Maintain positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders

• Evaluate supplier performance and review invoices

• Track shipment statuses and manage logistics documentation

Requirements:

• 3-5 years  in international logistics experience

• Certifications such as CCS or CIFFA preferred

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills needed

• Effective mentorship skills for team members

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
