Laboratory Operations Coordinator

Coordinate laboratory operations at SAIT’s Imperial Energy Innovation Centre, using inventory control and procurement expertise at Quarry Park Campus.

As a Technologist III, you will independently coordinate daily operational processes under general supervision. Your work spans inventory records, shipping and receiving, logistics, safety documentation, and hazardous waste coordination. You will serve vendors, laboratory staff, and internal stakeholders while resolving issues within established SAIT policies and procedures.

• Coordinate inventory records, monitoring, replenishment, receiving, storage, and distribution
• Lead procurement and ordering for chemicals, gas cylinders, and supplies
• Coordinate loading dock schedules, deliveries, yard organization, and material flow
• Maintain safety records, equipment checks, orientations, and corrective actions
• Resolve operational inquiries and escalate approval-dependent matters appropriately

• Diploma in administration, inventory management, distribution, procurement, or equivalent experience
• Five years’ experience in related operational environments
• Attention to detail and effective file management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Time management skills
