Industrial Materials Buyer Pipeline Projects

Procure line pipe, PVF, and E&I materials as an Industrial Materials Buyer supporting SMJV pipeline and facilities projects. Based in Calgary or Spruce Grove, travel is required.
The Material Buyer manages controlled and installed materials through the complete purchasing cycle. You will review MTOs, issue RFQs, evaluate bids, manage purchase orders, and maintain material schedules. The role coordinates with engineering, quality, fabricators, project controls, and site materials teams to meet specifications, required-on-site dates, and traceability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Procure line pipe, PVF, bolting, gaskets, and E&I materials
- Review MTOs, requisitions, specifications, and required-on-site dates
- Issue RFQs with technical specifications and vendor requirements
- Coordinate bid evaluations and prepare award recommendations
- Track schedules, documentation, deliveries, and long-lead items
- Five or more years purchasing industrial project materials
- Experience buying controlled and installed materials through close-out
- Working knowledge of piping and E&I materials
- Ability to interpret technical data sheets and drawings
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Excel
