Full or Part-Time: Full-Time

Hours of Work: Up to 40 hours per week

Permanent/Temporary: Temporary – Wage, Seasonal

Salary
  • Maintenance Service Worker 1 – Park Maintenance Worker 1: $23.11 - $26.00 per hour
  • Maintenance Service Worker 2 – Park Maintenance Worker 2: $24.80 - $30.36 per hour
  • Maintenance Service Worker 3 – Park Maintenance Crew Lead: $26.18 - $32.08 per hour
Benefits and Shift Premium Pay

In addition to regular wages, regular Wage employees receive 11.6% in lieu of benefits and vacation leave:

  • 5.6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays
  • 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay

In addition to the regular wages and the additional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation, regular wage employees are entitled to shift premium pay:

  • $3.25 per hour for weekends and holidays
  • $2.75 per hour for evenings

Summer 2026 Season Staffing
  • 2 Park Maintenance Crew Leads (MSW3)
  • 1 Park Maintenance Worker 2 (MSW2)
  • 10 Park Maintenance Workers (MSW1)
Responsibilities Park Maintenance Service Worker (MSW1)
  • Perform landscaping, building cleaning and site servicing of campgrounds, day use areas and facilities.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on infrastructure, vehicles and equipment.
  • Operate equipment such as mowers, trimmers, ATVs, etc.
  • Litter pickup and garbage removal on beaches, day use facilities, picnic areas.
  • Assist with trail maintenance, beach and dock maintenance.
  • Install and maintain signage.
  • Report all maintenance concerns accordingly.
  • Assist with hazard tree management and invasive plant management programs.
  • Practice all pertinent Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies, procedures and protocols, in addition to the Facility Emergency Response Plan and protocols.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense claims, commencement and termination paperwork, and online courses.
Park Maintenance Worker 2 (MSW2)
  • Operate heavy equipment such as sewer truck, loaders, skid steers, garbage trucks, etc.
  • Assist with formal and informal inspections, maintenance and servicing of equipment.
  • Complete trail maintenance projects.
  • Maintain roads and parking lot areas.
  • Assist with routine playground inspections and maintenance.
  • Install and remove docks, maintain beaches.
  • Operate chainsaws, brush saws and other higher risk equipment.
  • Landscape and Facility Maintenance as required per work location.
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained to standard.
  • Caretaking and cleaning duties as required.
Park Maintenance Crew Lead (MSW3)
  • Onsite lead for a crew of MSW staff. Accountable for direct site operations, and for leading the task scheduling for other staff.
  • Assist with formal inspections, maintenance and servicing of equipment.
  • Assist with playground routine inspections and maintenance.
  • Assist with docks installation and removals and maintain beaches.
  • Conduct purchasing and ordering supply inventory within budget.
  • Assist with staff training and staff performance reviews.
  • Assist with service contract management.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
