The position:Join our team as a Maintenance Custodian
, reporting to the Facilities Manager, where you will play an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment for both staff and customers. By ensuring our facilities are well cared for and welcoming, you directly support the overall customer experience and contribute to the positive, team-oriented culture that defines Trail Appliances.

- Monitor and maintain building conditions to ensure a safe, clean, and fully functional environment, addressing plumbing, lighting, HVAC, electrical, and other minor maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, complete scheduled tasks, and report emergencies or significant issues to the Facilities Manager.
- Maintain the exterior of the property, including parking areas and seasonal upkeep such as snow removal.
- Support custodial duties, assist with room setups and furniture moves, and manage shipping and receiving of maintenance supplies.
- Coordinate with external trades and contractors by assisting with communication, overseeing minor projects when required, completing site orientations, and ensuring proper documentation and purchase orders are in place.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role with strong hands‑on mechanical skills.
- Proficiency using basic hand tools, ladders, and working with mechanical components.
- Knowledge of operational and maintenance safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Physical capability to perform maintenance and custodial duties.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
This is a full-time position and will require you to be available:
Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm
$19/hr - $20/hr
