Extendicare Hillcrest is seeking a Part Time Facilities Maintenance Worker to maintain a safe, clean environment for our residents. Your skills in maintenance and repairs will contribute to our high standards of care.

This role involves performing essential maintenance tasks like repairs, preventative inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and health standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare settings and familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems, with a commitment to responsive resident service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs in resident areas

• Ensure compliance with relevant safety codes and legislation

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems

• Manage landscaping and snow removal activities

• Respond swiftly to resident maintenance requests

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

• Building maintenance certification is advantageous

• Experience in long-term care or facilities preferred

• WHMIS certification required

• Strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills
