Maintenance Aide

Position: Maintenance Aide at AgeCare
Join Age Care as a Maintenance Aide and support our residents at the Chestermere facility. This role involves semi-skilled maintenance in plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure a comfortable living environment.

The Maintenance Aide is essential in performing various maintenance duties and assisting with building equipment. You will conduct routine inspections and repairs on vital equipment, providing immediate resolutions for issues affecting resident care. This role requires a blend of technical skills and a compassionate approach to enhance our residents' quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform semi-skilled maintenance on electrical and plumbing systems

• Repair and regulate taps, toilets, and drains

• Conduct routine lighting inspections and repairs

• Test electrical circuits and equipment as needed

• Assist with minor carpentry projects

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of related experience required

• Knowledge of WHMIS standards

• Grade 12 Diploma with technical training

• Ability to work in a supportive team environment

• Commitment to compassionate care for seniors
