Position: Part-Time Maintenance Worker at Extendicare
Become a vital part of Extendicare Hillcrest as a part-time Maintenance Worker. Ensure a safe and operational environment through crucial maintenance and repairs while supporting resident comfort and safety.

As a Maintenance Worker, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and maintain the long-term care home, its equipment, and the grounds. This role requires routine maintenance, inspections, and compliance with safety regulations, ensuring minimal disruption to residents. You will work independently and collaboratively with the team to improve care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on building systems

• Conduct inspections of fire alarms and emergency lights

• Manage grounds maintenance, including snow removal

• Support external contractors during projects

• Respond to maintenance requests from residents

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

• Building maintenance certification preferred

• Experience in healthcare or long-term care valued

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments
