Level II Maintenance Assistant

Become a vital part of Silverleaf, Optima Living, as a Maintenance Assistant Level II, dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors in Calgary, Alberta. This role centers on diverse maintenance tasks to support our welcoming environment.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this position requires performing a range of maintenance duties, from simple repairs to complex upgrades. You will focus on ensuring routine maintenance of equipment and actively supporting contractors, all while keeping disruptions to a minimum. Adherence to safety guidelines is paramount in delivering optimal support to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute general repairs and assist with complex upgrades

• Conduct thorough painting and finish work

• Perform routine maintenance and equipment checks

• Handle minor plumbing and electrical repairs

• Maintain building premises and grounds effectively

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification

• At least one year of relevant maintenance experience

• Must hold a valid driver’s license

• CPR and First Aid certification beneficial

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
