Step into a leadership role with Transdev Canada as the Lead Mechanic for our School Bus division in Calgary. Leverage your technical skills to ensure a safe and reliable fleet for the community.
As a Lead Mechanic, you will oversee fleet maintenance operations and manage preventive schedules. This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for experienced technicians ready to supervise and train a team. You will work with CNG and battery-electric vehicles while implementing safety protocols and analyzing maintenance costs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all fleet maintenance aspects and schedules
• Diagnose and repair vehicles comprehensively
• Supervise and train mechanics for quality assurance
• Maintain safety protocols and compliance standards
• Communicate vehicle status to dispatch effectively
Requirements:
• Red Seal certification as an Automotive Service Technician
• 3-5 years of experience with similar vehicles
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence
• Experience with diagnostic tools and maintenance systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
