Elevate your career with West Jet as an Operations Manager at our YYC base. Support AME teams with maintenance coordination and ensure operational excellence through effective leadership.
In this in-person role, you'll report to the Sr. Manager – Line Maintenance, focusing on front-line maintenance personnel. Key skills include maintenance oversight, effective coordination, and leadership development. You will ensure safety standards are upheld while managing maintenance tasks and team performance for smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee maintenance personnel's skill and equipment levels
• Ensure compliance with safety promises and standards
• Expedite maintenance coordination for minimal scheduling impact
• Manage staffing levels for scheduled and unscheduled tasks
• Lead, coach, and mentor AMEs for optimal performance
Requirements:
• Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License
• Knowledge of industry practices and self-management
• Proven ability to build cross-department relationships
• Solid communication skills, both written and oral
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
