Calgary Operations Manager - Maintenance

Lead maintenance operations at West Jet's YYC base as an Operations Manager. This in-person role engages with front-line AMEs and ensures efficient daily operations in maintenance.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Line Maintenance, you'll oversee maintenance personnel, ensuring skills, tools, and operations are optimal. The position involves coordinating maintenance schedules, expediting parts, and maintaining safety standards. Your leadership will be vital in fostering a positive work culture among AMEs while addressing performance issues and training needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure proper tooling usage

• Expedite maintenance requirements with various departments

• Coordinate staffing levels for planned and unplanned maintenance

• Provide daily guidance and coaching to the team

• Report any operational risks to management

Requirements:

• Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (M2, E, or S)

• Knowledge of industry practices and responsibilities

• Proven experience in maintaining employee relations

• Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office

• Ability to self-manage and work shifts
