The OpportunityRVS is currently seeking applications for a continuing, part-time (20 hrs/week) Caretaker I position to provide routine cleaning duties at Prairie Waters School starting immediately. The schedule will be Monday to Friday and must be available to work the evening shift supporting multiple sites as assigned.

Under the supervision of the Head Building Operator and Building Operator, the Caretaker I provides caretaking services at their assigned RVS facilities. The Caretaker I is responsible for the housekeeping of school buildings, maintaining contents and furnishings in good appearance and inclean, tidy, sanitary condition, as assigned by their supervisor.
Responsibilities Include- Attention to detail related to varied and complex cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks within a team environment
- Demonstrated pride in workmanship
- Performs building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator
- Keeps assigned sidewalks, steps, and entrances free from ice and snow
- Experience working in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety, WHMIS and other relevant legislation
- Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset
- Certifications from cleaning organization is considered an asset
- Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset
- An equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be considered
- Working knowledge of proper cleaning procedure.
- Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Effective use of Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
