Position: Water Operator at Town of Banff

In this full-time, permanent operator role, you'll be integral in managing the water distribution and wastewater systems that serve our vibrant community. Your daily operations will include monitoring water quality, performing repairs, and executing routine flushings. Your expertise will help ensure our infrastructure functions optimally in a town that welcomes thousands of tourists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and repair water distribution and wastewater systems

• Conduct regular monitoring and quality assessments

• Flushing hydrants and sewer lines as required

• Respond to alarms in the water system effectively

• Maintain pumps and control valves for optimal operation

Requirements:

• Experience in municipal water operations preferred

• Required certifications in Water Distribution and Wastewater

• Class 3 Alberta driver’s license with air brake endorsement

• Standard First Aid and CPR certifications mandatory

• Proven mechanical skills with heavy equipment operation
