Full-Time, 14-Month Term (September 2026 – November 2027), Unionized

Work environment:
Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days WFH). Employees must be available to work in the office up to five (5) days per week when required to support business priorities.

The Facility Services team deliver clean, safe, and functional environments across our airport campus, collaborating across teams to enable seamless operations and elevate the guest experience.

What Are Some Of The Responsibilities
  • Process facility service requests related to janitorial services, waste management, pest control, recycling, and other facility support services.
  • Administer work orders within Calgary Airports’ Maintenance Management System (MAXIMO), including creating, updating, tracking, and closing service requests while maintaining accurate records.
  • Inspect airport facilities and surrounding areas to identify cleanliness, maintenance, and service deficiencies and initiate corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility service contractors and monitor service delivery to confirm work meets operational and contractual requirements.
  • Create purchase orders, verify invoices, maintain operational records, and provide information supporting budget planning and financial reporting activities to the General Manager, Facility Services.
  • Prepare and communicate notifications related to facility closures, service interruptions, maintenance activities, and operational impacts.
  • Provide facility maintenance, cleaning, waste management, and operational servicing requirements during facility improvement and construction projects.
  • Maintain operational procedures, service documentation, and records supporting regulated facility services and contractor activities.
What Do You Need To Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Relevant post‑secondary education in business administration, facilities services, building operations, operations administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in facilities administration, maintenance coordination, contractor services, or a related operational support role is required.
  • Experience working with contractors, service providers, tenants, or operational stakeholders to address facility service and maintenance requirements.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize competing tasks, maintain accurate records, follow established procedures, and identify issues requiring follow-up or escalation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build productive working relationships, exchange information clearly, and respond professionally to requests from internal stakeholders, contractors, and service providers.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic airport environment that involves a combination of office-based responsibilities, regular inspections of airport facilities, walking between locations, and occasional light lifting.
What Additional Skills Are An Asset
  • Facilities Management Professional (FMP) certification or related industry training.
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management, asset management, procurement, or financial systems such as MAXIMO or Oracle.
  • Experience working in an airport, transportation, regulated, or public-facing operational environment.
  • Bilingual in English and French
