As a key player in our team, the Maintenance Assistant brings dedication to building upkeep and preventive maintenance within our retirement residence. Candidates must possess a minimum grade 12 education, prior building services experience, and a commitment to enhancing seniors' lives. Key skills include effective communication, problem-solving, and flexibility in both team-oriented and independent tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance duties promptly

• Monitor maintenance contracts alongside the Building Services Manager

• Inspect resident suites and ensure readiness for new occupants

• Assist residents with furniture moving as needed

• Maintain safety and environmental standards in operations

Requirements:

• Minimum grade 12 education

• Experience with HVAC and senior clientele preferred

• Strong initiative and organizational skills

• Intermediate computer skills required

• Dependable and flexible work ethic
