Custodian

Position: Custodian at The Salvation Army
Ensure a clean and healthy environment at The Salvation Army's men’s residential shelter. This position requires proficient cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance skills within a team-focused setting.

We are seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain high custodial standards in our facility. You will be responsible for thorough cleaning duties, including sanitizing washrooms and offices, vacuuming, mopping, and organizing supplies. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect all facility areas

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors effectively

• Maintain supplies and equipment within janitorial carts

• Perform laundry services as required

• Report maintenance needs to Custodial Supervisor

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Three months of relevant experience

• Strong attention to detail and integrity

• Ability to lift over 20 lbs safely

• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment
