The RoleWe are looking for areliable and physically capable Facilities Porter to join our Facilities Management and Operations team in Calgary. This is an entry-level, hands onsupport role. No trade certification or prior maintenance experience is required.
As a Facilities Porter, you will support our maintenance and leasing teams across multiple properties in the Calgary area. You won’t be permanently stationed tead, you’ll be deployed wherever the work is, which keeps therole varied and gives you exposure to a wide range of properties and tasks.
What You’ll Do- Provide light maintenance support, including minor non-trade repairs,fixture and filter changes, and assisting maintenance technicians on larger jobs.
- Clean and maintain common areas, amenity spaces, hallways, and parkades.
- Assist with move-out and suite turnover cleaning support.
- Perform groundskeeping tasks, including litter pickup, snow and ice clearing, salting, and basic landscaping upkeep.
- Assist with unit walk-throughs and routine property inspections,documenting observations for technicians and supervisors.
- Deliver tenant notices and move documents or supplies between sites as directed.
- Perform general labour and other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
- This role does not include licensed or trade-certified work such as electrical, gas, boiler, orlife-safety system work. If you’re looking to grow into a technical maintenance career, this is a great first step.
- A valid driver’s licence and a reliable personal vehicle, insured for business use. This is required, not a preference. You will be travelling between properties regularly as part of the job.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and carrying up to approximately 50 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods, bending,kneeling, and working outdoors throughout the year.
- Comfortable working at multiple sites and adapting to different tasksday to day.
- Basic reading and written communication skills sufficient to follow instructions, use a company phone, and post tenant notices accurately.
- No prior maintenance experience or trade certification required. We willtrain you on our systems and processes.
- Hands on training and support. You do not need previous property maintenance experience. We will help you learn our properties, systems, processes, and expectations.
- Variety in your workday. You will work across different properties and take on a range of maintenance, property upkeep,turnover, and operational tasks.
- Broad industry experience. Working across the portfolio gives you exposure to building operations, residential property management, maintenance, leasing support, and site operations.
