Extendicare is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Worker to support daily operations in a long-term care setting. This role involves performing minor repairs, conducting preventative maintenance, and assisting with various building projects. Candidates should have maintenance experience and be comfortable working around seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs
• Conduct routine inspections of building systems
• Maintain resident rooms and common areas
• Troubleshoot mechanical and building equipment
• Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks
Requirements:
• Previous experience in building maintenance or handy work
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Willingness to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Police Check
• Dependable and safety-conscious
