We are currently seeking a Vice President, Finance & Administration for a multi-campus academic institution based in Calgary, Alberta. This executive position will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the institution’s financial, administrative, and infrastructure functions. This role is critical in ensuring fiscal responsibility, transparent governance, and effective resource allocation to support the academic mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Oversee treasury, procurement, risk management, and capital planning
  • Partner with academic and operational leaders to align resources with strategic priorities
  • Ensure compliance with provincial regulations, funding agreements, and audit requirements
  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams across finance, facilities, and administrative services
  • Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance; ideally within higher education or the public sector
  • Great leadership experience & skills; able to mentor, guide, and grow team members in all level
  • Post secondary education in related field; CPA designation preferred
  • Strong understanding of Alberta’s post-secondary funding and regulatory environment
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning and resource optimization
  • Have access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license; flexible to travel within the region
