Job Description

TD Private Wealth Management is a premier full-service brokerage and wealth management business focusing on mass affluent and high‑net‑worth clients. As Assistant Branch Manager, you will provide sales leadership, talent recruitment, partner relationships, and a legendary client experience.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, develop, and lead high‑performance teams with personal development planning and performance assessments.
  • Contribute to sales strategies to achieve business objectives and sales goals.
  • Plan and execute business development activities, review results, and adjust tactics.
  • Coach employees to identify client product and service needs and deliver on business sales, advice strategies, and individual goals.
  • Promote the TD Private Wealth Management image and brand within the community through business groups and related activities.
  • Ensure due diligence and accuracy of client activities (Know Your Client, etc.).
  • Facilitate client needs assessment and refer to other TD Wealth areas.
  • Lead through complex change and enhance the TD brand.
  • Maintain deep understanding of TD Wealth Management Advisory offerings and key levers.
  • Analyze competitive landscape, industry trends, and recommend strategies for competitive advantage.
  • Lead community engagement to grow the TD PWM franchise.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess impacts.
  • Support Branch Managers in developing and executing branch business plans.
  • Oversee resolution of significant client issues, including regulatory and legal matters.
  • Provide leadership and oversight on compliance matters and risk management policies.
  • Ensure employees understand and apply bank operating policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate university degree or related post‑secondary education.
  • Registered with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) as a Registered Representative and Supervisor.
  • 7+ years of wealth leadership experience, including branch and sales management.
  • Track record of recruiting, growing, and retaining top talent with a focus on diversity.
  • Strategic, change‑oriented leader capable of balancing business reality, regulatory expectations, and best practices.
  • Experience working in a large financial institution with collaborative success.
  • Strong collaboration across the organization and peer groups.
  • Resilient under pressure with decisive leadership in evolving environments.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and adapt to priorities.
  • Confident presentation and facilitation skills.
