Reporting to the Agriculture and Agribusiness Vice President, the RVP, Agriculture Banking is the internal expert for all things agribusiness at Servus Credit Union, contributing to the evolution of our strategic plan and market presence. Cultivating a trusted presence in Alberta agriculture, this role ensures the team at Servus is seen as leaders in the industry, supporting traditional and emerging operations and industry practice.

Responsible for the execution of the annual business and strategic plans, this role motivates and influences the team to deliver a remarkable member experience, retain and acquire members, and grow our market share while also ensuring operational efficiency and risk management practices are in place.

What you’ll be doing
  • Leads the overall performance of the agriculture team, ensuring strong employee experience, member experience, financial results, operational efficiency, and high‑quality sales and service delivery tailored to agricultural members.
  • Builds a high‑engagement, high‑performance culture grounded in trust, accountability, innovation, and continuous development to support a specialized agriculture team.
  • Collaborates with organizational leaders to develop and execute agriculture‑focused business plans, targets, and budgets that drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
  • Develops and executes market strategies specific to the agriculture sector to grow wallet share, strengthen member advocacy, and support retention, acquisition, and long‑term financial outcomes.
  • Ensures strong team capability through goal setting, coaching, performance management, onboarding, upskilling, and career development, with emphasis on deep agricultural expertise.
  • Maintains a strong presence in the agriculture market, leading business development efforts, engaging key centers of influence, and representing the credit union as an industry expert within the agricultural community.
What you bring
  • 10 years’ experience in Agriculture Banking.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead a high-performing team.
  • Completed a relevant diploma, degree, or designation program with specialization in agriculture and/or finance, accounting, or law.
  • Personal experience in agriculture/farming or ranching is an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
