Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity aims to inspire everyone who attends our campus – artists, leaders, and thinkers – to unleash their creative potential. In the spirit of respect and truth, we honour and acknowledge the Banff area, known as “Minhrpa” (translated in Stoney Nakoda as “the waterfalls”) and the Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Îyârhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda) – comprised of the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney Nations – as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Blackfoot Confederacy comprised of the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai.

We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Shuswap Nations, Ktunaxa Nations, and Metis Nation of Alberta, Rockyview District 4. We acknowledge all Nations who live, work, and play, help us steward this land, and honour and celebrate this place.

Banff Centre is a post-secondary learning institution with a mission to bring artists, leaders, and communities together to create, collaborate, share, envision, learn and be inspired. Under this mandate, a range of artform and interdisciplinary residential programs are offered to artists at all stages of their careers from Canada and across the world. Most of the programs involve free and/or ticketed events open to the public and Banff Centre also presents a range of curated events outside the arts program areas such as the Banff International String Competition and Festival.

• Plans, executes and delivers all administrative and logistic aspects of the Banff International String Quartet Competition and Festival, ensuring all work timeline duties and deadlines are met.
• Manages all logistics for the competition including quartet communication, repertoire confirmation and preparations, preliminary jury adjudications, competition jury, special guests, media and streaming confirmations, competition vendors and partners, overall schedule, and travel arrangements.
• Manages all logistics for the festival including artist communication and contracts, overall festival schedule, audience experience, repertoire confirmation and preparations, media, recording, and streaming relationships, and travel arrangements.
• Manages all ancillary BISQC/F programs, including, but not limited to:
  Quartet in the Community, Rolston/Szekely program, competition lecture series, festival events and alumni concert.
• Undertakes all planning and delivery of the winning quartet’s career development prize package, including tours with the support of Touring Agents for North America and Europe, recording contracts and residency development.
• Plans and delivers BISQ Competition prize packages, including the DC Anderson Family Foundation prize.
• Negotiates partnerships with presenters, regional, national, and international. Maintains and develops relationships on behalf of Banff Centre with the World Federation of International Music competitions.
• Works with the Development Department to maintain existing and build new donor relations, research other funding possibilities, and explore grant opportunities.
• Alongside the Director, Banff Centre Presents, works with the Marketing Department to maintain existing and identify new sponsorship opportunities.
• With the Director, Banff Centre Presents, collaborates with Marketing and Communications on the development of an effective marketing and communications content dissemination plan in service of both the competition and festival.
• Acts as the lead with production areas (stage/live performance and video/sounds capture) ensuring all production and broad cast resources are confirmed and scheduled for the competition and festival.
