Production Manager - Drapery

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of drapery, shades, and other sewn goods. The ideal candidate will lead process improvements, monitor quality control, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet production goals. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and a focus on continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets and quality standards. This is hands-on work.
• Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and reduce waste.
• Actively participate in the implementation of our new software package (Zoho) for the manufacturing processes and tasks.
• Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and inventory management.
• Drive process improvement and cross-training initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.
• Monitor quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and compliance standards.
• Supervise assembly lines and mechanical processes, providing guidance on technical issues.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing performance metrics and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, installation team, and logistics to troubleshoot issues and optimize workflows.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all staff.

Requirements

• Proven experience in manufacturing management or production supervision within a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, Zoho is ideal.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand sewing machine operation and maintenance.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive change.
• Knowledge of quality control standards and practices in a textiles manufacturing setting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with supply chain management principles and inventory control systems.
