Truss Assembler

Location: 292156 Crosspointe Road, Rocky View County, AB (behind the Century Downs Racetrack/Casino in Balzac).

Shift: Monday to Friday

Day shift: 5:00 am – 1:30 pm, Afternoon shift: 1:30 pm – 12:00 am (10‑hour shifts).

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of truss manufacturing or other similar wood products assembly experience.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Reporting to the Production Manager, as the Truss Assembler you will set up and assemble roof and floor trusses according to specifications. You also ensure work is done efficiently in compliance with quality requirements and safety protocols.

• Completing pre‑shift equipment inspections, fabricating and assembling wood roof trusses according to designer specifications.
• Loading and indicating complete jobs in Truss Line software to facilitate related operations.
• Gathering the correct components and verifying material quality prior to commencing work.
• Selecting accurate plates according to drawings, positioning plates properly, and adjusting connector plate size as necessary.
• Assisting and/or coaching other team members on the line.
• Working safely and following all health and safety policies and procedures.

You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
