The Pressure Welder will be working on pressure piping projects, starting with fabricating 2"-60" pipes using MIG roots with a fluxcore cap. The role involves supporting the project with the intention of long‑term work. The project will progress from setup and preparation, to fabrication, and finally to finishing. The welder will fit components together and use a rolling system to weld them.

If there is a delay in work on the vessels, the welder may be asked to assist around the facility as needed.

• Fabricate 2"-60" pipes using MIG roots and fluxcore caps.
• Support the pressure piping project with the intent of long‑term work.
• Move through project phases from setup and prep to fabrication and finishing.
• Fit components together and use a rolling system to weld.
• Assist around the facility if there is a delay in work on vessels.

• Experience in pressure welding, MIG welding, and stick welding.
• Red Seal certification and B Pressure Welder certification.
• Journeyman welder qualification.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick - Root and Cap.
• 3+ years of fitting experience.
• Experience with stainless steel and pressure pipe.
• Knowledge of vessel, fitting, seam, circ welding, and pressure techniques.

• Experience with seam and circ welds.
• Experience with prep cuts.
• Structural CWB tickets.
• Supervisor or lead experience.

The role is based in a fabrication shop with about 30 employees, specializing in spooling, welding, coating, and lining pressured pipes. Located in the SE industrial sector, the shop is easily accessible. The work schedule starts on days and transitions to nights upon role acclimation. Day shifts run from 7 AM‑3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to extend to 10‑hour shifts and include Saturday work.

Night shifts run from 3 PM‑1:30 AM, Monday to Thursday, with a $3 premium for night shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $48.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Calgary, AB.
