We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our window and door assembly lines, ensuring that every product meets our rigorous quality standards and is ready for on-time delivery. You will be the bridge between Production Manager and the shop floor, driving efficiency while maintaining a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Daily Operations: Manage a team of 30+ production associates across cutting, welding, glazing, and assembly stations.
- Ensure Quality Excellence: Perform frequent in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet NFRC/Energy Star standards and customer specifications.
- Optimize Workflow: Identify and resolve bottlenecks to meet daily production quotas and reduce lead times.
- Safety First: Enforce all safety protocols, including PPE usage and machine guarding, to maintain an accident-free workplace.
- Inventory & Maintenance: Monitor material usage to minimize scrap and coordinate with maintenance to ensure CNC machinery and welders are in peak condition.
- Team Development: Train, mentor, and cross-train staff to improve flexibility and career growth within the plant.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (Windows/Doors/Fenestration experience strongly preferred).
- Technical Savvy: Familiarity with ERP/MRP software.
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing diverse teams and resolving workplace conflicts effectively.
- Knowledge: Understanding of lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen) and OSHA regulations is preferred.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
