Agilus is recruiting for a Buyer in the Oil & Gas Equipment Fabrication Industry in Calgary, Alberta.

Our client is seeking an energetic and driven Buyer to join their growing team. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this full-time role is based in their Calgary office. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, supporting the purchasing team in a variety of related activities.

• Work directly with the Projects and Aftermarket teams to place and expedite orders.
• Create and issue purchase orders for materials, supplies, and equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of delivery dates for long-lead items and follow up with suppliers for updates.
• Assist with general expediting of orders as needed.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to clarify valve and instrument specifications prior to ordering
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues affecting purchase orders.
• Coordinate transportation and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials.

• 2+ years of industry experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Previous experience in a steel fabrication environment is an asset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and bills of materials.
