Valid Canadian Journeyman certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, Automotive Service Technician, or recognized equivalentPrincipal accountabilities
Respond to radio calls and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns on production and mobile equipmentPerform daily preventive maintenance (PMs) and corrective repairs to ensure reliable plant operationsComplete work orders accurately and in a timely mannerFollow all site safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, to prevent injury and equipment damageAdhere to food safety standards by maintaining clean tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with HACCP and GMP requirementsRemain aware of surroundings and operating conditions to support a safe work environmentRequired Qualifications
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaCargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years oldJourneyman certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, Automotive Service Technician, or equivalent recognized in CanadaAbility to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, bending, and working in confined or elevated spacesAbility to work various schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as requiredComfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to heat, cold, and machineryAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishPreferred Qualifications
Aerial platform and/or forklift certificationExperience maintaining electric and propane powered mobile equipmentGeneral multi trade maintenance skills (welding, pipefitting, fabrication, rigging, hydraulics, pneumatics)Previous experience in a food manufacturing or industrial production environmentPlease note that this position does not include relocation reimbursement
