Teknion Custom Solutions is looking for a Beam Saw Operator. We are a custom wood office furniture manufacturer producing a large variety of office furniture. The Beam Saw Operator executes rough cuts on sheet goods, enabling their progression through manufacturing.
Primary Responsibilities:
Read and interpret shop drawings and job instruction documents,Perform measurements with accuracy,Requires knowledge and the ability to identify different building materials such as MDF, particle board, plastic laminate, and others.Must examine materials for flaws and imperfections before processing to optimize material efficiency,Understands machine operations: setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, lockout,Maintain a clean and safe work environment,Employ safe and appropriate material handling and lifting techniques for wood furniture to prevent damage and injuries,Must understand and consistently apply standard safety rules and procedures.Preferred
Skills:
Energetic and enthusiastic attitude, thriving in a collaborative team,Strong communication and interpersonal skills,Approaches work with a high degree of organization, safety and attention to detail,Must be able to organize workload and prioritize activities based on key responsibilities,Demonstrates strong English communication skills, both written and oral.Assets:
1-2 years experience in a wood or manufacturing shop,Previous experience as a machine operator.Benefits
