Shift supervisor, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to complement their dynamic and hard-working team. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role leads a team of operators and technicians, coordinates workflow, resolves issues in real time and maintains compliance with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment.

This is an attractive pay of $29.00/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and monitor production activities during assigned shift to meet output, quality, and safety targets.
• Allocate labor and resources based on production priorities.
• Ensure equipment is operated according to established procedures.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate when necessary.
• Provide daily direction, coaching and support to technicians.
• Train new employees on processes, equipment and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records, production reports and incident documentation.
• Communicate all necessary information to affected departments.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE in an industrial setting.
• Computation of basic math skills.
• Strong leadership skills with excellent communication.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to dust and loud noise (hearing protection provided).
• Ability to lift, carry, and move pallets and materials weighing up to 85 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Able to stand for long periods while completing repair tasks and transporting pallets.
• Regular use of power tools including repetitive operation of nail guns, hammers and saws.
• Requires strong visual attention to identify pallet defects and perform precise repair work.
• Must have steel toed footwear in good repair.
