Manager, manufacturing

Overview  Precision Mounting Technologies Ltd. (PMT) is seeking a detailed-oriented Manufacturing Manager to lead the Manufacturing team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the processing of raw material and fabrication of parts for both immediate assembly and stock using PMT’s in-house, high-end CNC machining and fabricating equipment, and overseeing the entire internal supply chain from raw material to finished components.

This role blends technical expertise and strategic leadership, with the primary objective to ensure the manufacturing floor operates at peak efficiency to support on-time shipments.
Responsibilities   Internal Supply Chain & Production Support: oversee parts fabrication to meet the assembly schedule, coordinate daily with the Production Manager to prioritize jobs, and manage internal stock levels to reduce lead times.
Engineering Collaboration & Prototyping: work with Engineering on design for manufacturability and lead prototype fabrication, providing feedback on production hurdles and cost-saving adjustments.
Capital Asset & Maintenance Management: identify and justify new machinery, oversee installation of capital equipment, and develop a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives: identify waste and drive process optimization using Lean principles; train staff on new machinery and lean methodologies.
General: ensure adherence to PMT policies, safety standards, and 4 R’s; collaborate with tool suppliers and support operational needs as required.
Qualifications   5+ years of experience in shipping/receiving and 5+ years in a manufacturing leadership role, specifically in a precision machining or fabrication environment.
Deep understanding of manufacturing equipment (CNC, laser, press brake, manual mills).
