CNC Machinist - Night

Position Overview

Apex Precision Inc. is a leader in the field of precision component manufacturing and we are growing quickly. The CNC machinist will be able to thrive in a dynamic and stimulating environment. He/she will work closely with the production supervisor, programmers, and inspectors to develop and deliver precision parts within the prescribed deadlines.

Night shift premium of 5.00$/hour.

• Prepare machines, required tools, listed fixtures, equipment and material as listed in drawings and set-up sheet
• Inspect machine condition and ensure scheduled maintenance has been completed before it is put into operation
• Operate CNC (Milling or Lathe) to machine parts as per drawing
• Verify parts for conformity using measuring tools
• Complete all operations in a safe manner
• Enter production times and quantities in JobBOSS (ERP).
• Stamp and fill out work order (traveler) once traveler steps are complete.
• Suggest improvements to manufacturing method on provided set-up improvement sheet. Record changes made to the CNC programming in the setup folder.
• Deburr machined parts per drawing as required and clean machined parts as deemed necessary
• Complete all other tasks as required by your leadership

• At least 2 years of experience in CNC machining. Experience in the metalworking or aerospace industry is an asset.
• DEP in machining or a related field.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Team player.
• Ability to work independently

Night shift 10:00pm to 6:15am

40 hours per week unless we hire part time.
