Process Operator

Summary

In this role on our Packaging team, you will contribute to packaging the beverages we produce into kegs and cans through safe and efficient operation of packaging machines. Working safely in a fast-paced environment while meeting high quality standards, you will assist with startups, shutdowns, product changes, line trouble shooting, problem solving, preventative maintenance, clearing jams, and cleaning & sanitation of all equipment on your assigned line.

• Operate and monitor process equipment and machinery in the packaging department according to manufacturers and company specifications.
• Perform maintenance and lubrication on packaging machinery.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing procedure on equipment and machinery as required.
• Extensive training and experience required to perform complex tasks.
• Ensure facility housekeeping standards are upheld
• Follow all safety procedures and policies.
• Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice and other sanitary processes.
• Follow all applicable federal safety standards and local laws
• Assist with other responsibilities as assigned

• Minimum 1 year experience working in an industrial work environment.
• Experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry is an asset
• Forklift license and experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jack is an asset
• Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Punctual with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude

• Frequent exposure to various temperatures
• Possible exposure to dangerous/hazardous cleaning materials
• Standing, bending, twisting, lifting, pushing and pulling is required throughout the day
• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
• Ability to lift/move up to 75 kg
• Overtime as required

Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalent
