Plant Manager

Trevor Frances Recruitment is supporting a confidential search for a Plant Manager to lead operations at a specialized manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta. This role is well‑suited for a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, agile environment and enjoys being actively involved in day‑to‑day plant operations. The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing production, driving operational efficiency, and fostering a strong, safety‑focused team culture.

• Oversee end-to-end plant operations, including raw material intake, production processes, and final product shipping
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 employees in a collaborative, performance‑driven environment
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Support business growth initiatives by ensuring high‑quality output and efficient turnaround times
• Maintain compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety and environmental regulations
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure operational continuity
• Foster employee engagement through cross‑training, clear communication, and consistent leadership presence on the production floor

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated hands‑on leadership style with the ability to support and troubleshoot technical processes
• Experience working in a unionized environment is required
• Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain logistics
• Ability to operate effectively in a smaller, fast‑moving production setting
