What You’ll Do:
Role:
This role will report to the Production Manager and will be integral to contributing to the future of scalable computer cooling solutions.
We Are Seeking Temporary Mechanical Assemblers Two Shifts Are Available:Day and Evening Shift Responsibilities:
- Subassembly and final assembly of simple and complex electro‑mechanical products incorporating electrical wiring; fluid circulation, and thermal transfer hardware.
- Assembly of prototype and production of Cold plate Loops, Manifold, Tube Assemblies and Heat Exchanger Module Products.
- Assembly of hardware components using hand, pneumatic, and electric power tools; and custom assembly fixtures.
- Ensure products are assembled per manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instruction (WIs).
- Provide input in assembly sequence and process to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency; and reduce fatigue and opportunities for error (OFE).
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop visual work instructions and custom assembly fixtures.
- Participate in regular Kaizen activities for continuous improvement and support 5S+ initiatives.
- Work to production deadlines to meet customer delivery dates.
- Strive to attain key performance metrics for Manufacturing & Quality.
- Recommend, evaluate, and implement opportunities for eliminating waste, continuous process, and product improvement, and lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve production rates and quality output.
- Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in performing all activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma required.
- Prior experience with hand tools.
- Requires physical mobility and strength to exert up to 20 kg (44 lbs) of lifting force occasionally, up to 10 kg of force lifting frequently, and negligible force to operate material handling equipment.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
- 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Previous experience working with hand tools in electro‑mechanical assembly in manufacturing environment, wood workshops or construction.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S, Build‑In Quality, DFX, Heijunka, Jidoka, JIT, Kaizen, Kanban, Poka‑Yoke, etc is an asset.
- IPC‑A‑610 soldering certification is an asset.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to understand and execute written and oral instructions.
- Basic math and measurement skills (i.e. fractions and decimals; imperial and metric) required.
