As a member of the Manufacturing Team, you will be responsible for inspecting electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems and ensuring compliance to required workmanship and safety standards both visually, and through the Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) process. You will highlight errors, faults, and/or causes for urgency and escalate the issue where necessary to the Machine Operator and/or Group Leader.

• Ensure compliance to IPC Standards and specifications though visual confirmation via AOI equipment
• Feedback concerns, discrepancies, and data to Machine Operators and Group Leaders
• Fluid, prompt communication with all associates in terms of solutions to concerns
• Data tracking/collection to ensure common faults are documented appropriately
• Operate press-fit, depanelizer and X-ray equipment and perform final inspection when required
• Provide proactive support to Operators/Inspectors to correct/predict/avoid future concerns
• Strict adherence to escalation processes within production
• Monitor real-time First Pass Yield to trigger program adjustment

• Familiarity and/or eagerness working in an electronics manufacturing environment
• Willingness to learn the operation of various equipment including AOI
• Previous experience operating machines would be an asset
• Computer skills – comfortable and able to navigate a computer doing basic tasks
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Proficient working independently and/or part of a team
• Detail oriented and possess a strong initiative to improve processes and improve quality
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
• Strong ability to prioritize and plan work activities, using time efficiently
• Previous quality and/or inspection experience would be an asset
• Availability for rotating shift work (days, afternoons, midnights)
• Availability for occasional overtime (evenings and weekends)
