Vessel Fitter at Startec Compression

Join Startec Compression & Process as a Vessel Fitter and work day shifts at our Calgary facility. This role focuses on precision in fitting, assembly, and preparation of pressure vessel components.

In this position, you will be responsible for accurate assembly and fitting of vessel components while collaborating closely with fabrication teams. A Journeyman trades certificate is required, preferably in Welding or Pipe fitting, along with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on vessel fitting experience. Expertise in reading blueprints and familiarity with Alberta OHS regulations will be crucial for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cutting, fitting, and alignment of vessel components

• Execute fit-up activities per engineering specifications

• Ensure accuracy and tolerances in assembly

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and layouts

• Maintain high-quality workmanship standards

Requirements:

• Journeyman certificate in Welding or Pipe fitting

• 5+ years of vessel fitting experience

• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations

• Familiarity with fabrication processes and techniques
