Welder​/Fabricator – Stairs, Architectural Railings, Miscellaneous Metals

The Welding Shop Calgary is seeking an experienced and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team.

We specialize in the fabrication and installation of miscellaneous metals, including custom stairs, handrails, guardrails, structural steel components, and architectural metalwork for commercial and industrial projects throughout Alberta.

• Fabricate and weld miscellaneous metal products, including stairs, railings, ladders, platforms, and custom steel components.
• Read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication details.
• Measure, fit, tack, and weld materials to specification.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, ironworkers, drill presses, grinders, and welding equipment.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and project requirements.
• Assist with material handling, loading, and shop organization as required.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment.

• Minimum 3 years of fabrication and welding experience.
• Proven experience fabricating stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous metal products.
• Robust MIG welding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CWB certification is an asset.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience:
  
  Misc. Metals Fabrication – 3 years (required).
• Experience:
  
  Stair and Railing Fitting and Fabrication – 3 years (required).
