Shipper, Forklift Operator, Material Handler

Job Description

We are seeking a Shipper / Receiver to join our team in Calgary, Alberta.

Reporting to the Shipping and Security Supervisor, the primary role and responsibility of a Shipper / Receiver is to load and unload trucks, pick, sort stock, and assist with inventory counts while respecting the company’s safety rules and regulations, ultimately creating a safe and orderly workplace. Shift structure consists of 12-hour shifts on rotation between days and nights, including weekends.

• Load/unload trucks.
• Pick and sort stock using a forklift ensuring minimal errors.
• Work safely and abide by OH&S standards/requirements.
• Assist with inventory counts as required.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

• 2 Years of forklift experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Candidates with a Class 1 license will be given preference.
• Previous experience with material handling & distribution warehouses preferred.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good organizational, time-management, and prioritizing skills.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Starting wage for the position is $27.19 per hour with potential for further increases. Once the employee successfully completes the probationary period, the wage goes up to $29.19 per hour.
