Who We Are

Since 1998, Tech‑Wood Building Components Ltd. has been a trusted provider of Engineered Wood Products, Roof Trusses, Wall Panels, and Building Materials to Calgary and surrounding areas.

We proudly operate out of two locations — one off Peigan Trail and the other right off Glenmore Trail — serving our customers with integrity, teamwork, and a drive for excellence.

At Tech‑Wood, we believe success comes from working together. We’re a collaborative and forward‑thinking team that values hard work, innovation, and having a bit of fun along the way. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we’re looking for someone who shares that same passion for excellence and teamwork.

Your Role:
Material Handler

We’re looking for a reliable and hard‑working Material Handler to join our Production team! You’ll be key in making sure materials are handled efficiently, orders are processed accurately, and the production area stays clean and organized.

If you like staying active, working with your hands, and being part of a team that gets things done—this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials around the yard
  • Assemble, check, and prep orders—making sure the right stuff goes to the right place
  • Receive incoming materials, confirm counts and grades match what was ordered
  • Keep things organized—maintain stock levels and storage in a tidy and safe way
  • Help coordinate and prep materials for shipping and delivery
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries, returns, and inventory
  • Maintain clean and safe working conditions (inside and out)
  • Perform general yard tasks (like snow clearing or moving containers)
  • Support continuous improvement by suggesting better, safer, or faster ways to do things
What You Bring
  • Experience operating a forklift (minimum 1 year is a bonus)
  • Valid forklift operator certification
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs regularly
  • Basic understanding of building materials and tools
  • Solid communication and time management skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Safety‑first mindset and experience in a warehouse or yard setting is an asset
What We Bring
  • Competitive wage (based on experience)
  • Day shift, night shift availability
  • Group benefits after 3‑month probation
  • Free on‑site parking
  • Company events and team lunches
  • Fast‑paced, team‑driven work environment
  • A team that’s invested in you—professionally and personally
