The Role

The Supervisor, Production will be responsible for overseeing the daily Control Panel Shop operation.

What You Will Do
  • Review and distribute work in the panel shop.
  • Coordinate with purchasing on component requirements when necessary.
  • Coordinate with Engineering when changes are required.
  • Monitor and improve workflow on a continual basis.
  • Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing Company standards and following up on regular inspections.
  • Monitor the quality of product being produced in the area, instruct and train staff when changes / improvements are required.
  • Work with the Testing/Quality department to schedule control panel testing.
  • Ensure that all production related paperwork is monitored, controlled and completed.
  • Be available and flexible to work overtime when required during the week and on weekends.
  • Coordinate with production and planning to ensure efficient timeline for all products.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Team Leadership and Employee Engagement
  • Supervise the performance of people in the Panel Shop area.
  • Prepare training plans for the supervised personnel.
  • Provide orientation and training as required to ensure an effective and efficient work force.
  • Conduct department tailgate meetings.
  • Values maintaining a clean, organized work area.
  • Values teamwork.
Knowledge and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in a Control Panel Shop environment is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a supervisor is required.
  • Electrical Journeyman certified is an advantage.
  • Computer skills – experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility in hours of work as necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of MRP systems.

2nd Shift Work Schedule (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.)
