CROWN Metal Packaging Canada LP, Beverage Packaging Division has an opening for a Day Support - Decorator Mechanic at their manufacturing facility located in the Foothills Industrial Park in South East Calgary. This facility manufactures aluminum cans for the beverage industry. The position involves a variety of mechanical adjustments, maintenance, repairs, installation, and modification of manufacturing equipment to produce aluminum cans of the highest quality.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Safety & Quality minded with willingness for excellence required in all aspects of the job
• Keep production lines flowing, make repairs and adjustments to equipment
• Understand and follow verbal instructions for completion of assigned tasks
• Keep Production Supervisors/Managers informed of operational status of equipment and production issues
• Follow standard operating procedures
• Perform other related duties as required

• Strong mechanical skills
• Proficiency in English for effective communication
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience; prior experience in industrial maintenance is preferred
• Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders
• Knowledge of and work history focused on quality and safety
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Motivated and committed to learning
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Work effectively in a team environment and independently
• Attention to detail and results driven
• Work to minimize downtime while improving quality
• Keep work area safe, clean, and organized
• Journeyman Millwright certificate is a definite asset

This position works Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with some overtime as needed.
