CoolIT Systems is looking for an experienced machinist to join its Calgary team. You will interpret blueprints, operate CNC and manual machines, and ensure the highest quality standards in prototype production. This role requires a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately

• Select effective equipment and methods for quality parts

• Document deviations from designs for engineering alignment

• Maintain a safe working environment with strict adherence to policies

• Perform preventive maintenance on all shop equipment

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in R&D environments and prototype development

• Proficient in Mazak CNC machinery and manual equipment

• Experience designing custom fixtures for unique builds

• Deep understanding of GD&T for precision tolerance

• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, innovative workspace
