Food Extrusion Process Engineer

Join our dynamic team in Calgary as a Process Engineer specializing in Food Extrusion. You will optimize processes, improve performance, and champion food safety in a vibrant facility.

As a key member of our team, you will leverage your engineering expertise to enhance extrusion, drying, and packaging operations. Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Quality to ensure smooth production and excellent product quality.

Your role will involve driving Lean initiatives, leading capital projects, and documenting specifications for new products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize food extrusion, drying, and packaging operations for efficiency

• Scale products from pilot trials to commercial production

• Lead equipment upgrades and new commissioning projects

• Drive Lean initiatives and assist in continuous improvement efforts

• Ensure processes meet customer quality standards and food safety guidelines

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Chemical, Process, Food, or Mechanical Engineering

• 5-10 years in food manufacturing or process engineering

• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred

• Proficient in SPC and data analysis tools

• Class 5 license and reliable transportation required
