As a Bench Fitter at Startec, you will work in their Shepard Shop, focusing on the fabrication and assembly of piping systems for various equipment. The role requires expertise in interpreting technical drawings and specifications while maintaining a disciplined approach to safety and organization in the workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret blueprints for effective piping layout
• Fabricate spools as outlined in Isometric Drawings
• Conduct alignment and tack welding
• Operate jib and overhead cranes for rigging
• Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship
Requirements:
• Journeyman Pipefitter certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years in bench fitting
• Knowledge of various pipe materials
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain safety standards
