Setup Operator

Job Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Reports to: Production Group Leader
Shift: Afternoons (3:30pm - Midnight)

We are seeking a Setup Operator responsible for the setup and tear down of our surface mount technology (SMT) machines. This individual will be eager to learn new processes, can work efficiency in a fast paced environment and enjoys working independently and with a team to meet deadlines.

• Organize with Planning, Materials and Management about a schedule to ensure setup will be completed before run date
• Print off setup sheets from Fujicam or Siemens controllers
• Utilize the Setup Tracking Sheet (kept in the area) and upon completion hand it into your PTL
• Checking binder for any deviations, material issues and special instructions from engineering that might affect setup completion
• Manage materials making sure kits are received and returned in the same order
• Setup feeders, check for stencil availability and ensure accuracy for overall setup processes
• Perform feeder maintenance when required
• Participate and adhere to DSM safety policies and practices

• High School Diploma or GED or 2-3 years related experience and/or training
• Strong oral communication skills
• Exposure to performing scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment is an asset
• Intermediate skills with MS Office, internet and manufacturing software’s
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Proficient working independently and/or part of a team
• Detail oriented and possess a strong initiative to improve processes and promote and improve quality
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
• Strong ability to prioritize and plan the work activities, using time efficiently
